Alone by Robert J. Crane 1st chapter summary
A girl, whose name has yet to be mentioned, hears two men in her house. Her mom has been missing for about a week now, but one of her rules: No one else is allowed in the house. The girl surprise attacks these men, later on resulting in the older man pulling a gun trying to shoot her. Because of this, she ends up breaking another of her mom's rules: Never leave the house. She tries to hide behind the two guys' vehicle ending with the man shooting at it. A red vehicle pulls up to her and a guy pokes his head out yelling for her to get in. This is when the chapter ends.
What was your personal reaction to this reading selection?
For the first chapter, it really does grasp my attention making me want to read on.Wanting to find out more information on just why her mother is so protective.
If you were to create notes to help you remember the most important points from your reading, what style of notes (lists, outlines, thought bubbles or webs, etc.) would you use and why?
More than likely I would use lists. With lists you can just write down the important stuff as you go. You don't have to worry about the complexity of all the other types of note taking styles.

01.03 Materials and Free Choice
What kind of reader are you?
My result was Drama. I do think this is accurate, I usually read books that are classified as contemporary fiction. Along with dystopian fiction. A lot of books do include drama, leaving tons of choices if I were to choose something to read based on that result.
What is the last thing you read that you enjoyed and why?
The last thing I enjoyed reading could have been a few text messages from my friends. Probably because they were funny. But if I were choosing the last book I read, it would have to be "The Almond Tree'' by Michelle Cohen Corasanti. Most books I enjoy, so I don't really have a reason as to why I enjoyed it, but it was really good.
